How To DonateThe Cape Fear Guardian ad Litem Association welcomes all donations of whatever amount you feel comfortable giving. The money you donate goes to pay for enrichment activities for abused and neglected children in New Hanover and Pender Counties. No person is paid for their work on behalf of CFGALA. Your donation provides:After school and summer experiences which enrich and nurture the strengths and talents of the children: art camp, drama camp, baseball camp, basketball camp, soccer camp, nature camp, science camp, music camp, leadership camp, 4-H camp, writing workshops, science club, computer club, and mentoring experience. Special equipment: chemistry sets, musical instuments, chorus and band uniforms, advanced Lego sets, art materials, dance recital costumes, tap and ballet shoes, batons, sports uniforms, therapeutic horseback riding lessons, graduation gowns, class rings. Cultural activities: tickets for GaL children to attend Thalian Hall Children Theater performances, local museums, the Aquarium at Fort Fisher, Serpentarium, etc. It costs more than $400 to send a kid away to camp and about $200 for a week-long day sports camp.
